The condition is Traveling only through countries with red in their flag, with Bangladesh → Iran as the endpoints. This is the archived weekly challenge #116, not a claim about this week's live puzzle. We replayed it in English on 2 October 2026.

Identify an archived puzzle by its endpoints and full condition; a discussion's posting date does not necessarily identify the game's week.
Why Afghanistan does not work here
The game accepts the name as a guess, marks it 🟥, and advances the counter from 1/9 to 2/9. It does not show an unknown-country spelling error.

Afghanistan is absent from the permitted connections for this red-flag challenge. The player's discussion attributes the confusion to remembering the former red-containing tricolor while the game treats Afghanistan differently. For solving this puzzle, the decisive evidence is the current game behavior: Afghanistan does not provide the missing connection. A flag image from a general search is not proof that this particular puzzle allows that country.
The working four-guess route
| Route step | Enter | Result in our replay |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Myanmar | ✅ |
| 2 | People's Republic of China | ✅ |
| 3 | Russia | ✅ |
| 4 | Azerbaijan | ✅ and completion |
Full route: Bangladesh → Myanmar → China → Russia → Azerbaijan → Iran. Bangladesh and Iran are supplied endpoints, so do not enter them. Select the game's offered name for China; our replay used People's Republic of China.

The official shortest-route panel shows those four intermediate countries. Our recorded result is 5 guesses (+1) because we deliberately tried Afghanistan first. It is not a Perfect replay. If you have only tried China and Myanmar plus the failed Afghanistan guess, Russia and Azerbaijan fill the remaining route; the failure already spent cannot be removed.
Apply the lesson to another flag challenge
Check the precise flag feature and the complete route. A neighboring country may fail the extra condition, and a flag restriction can require a longer geographical detour. Do not assume every red guess in ordinary Travle means a flag problem: this explanation applies to the named red-flag challenge. The animal-flag example demonstrates a different condition with its own tested answer.
