Do Denmark and Sweden Connect in Travle?
Yes. The official World rules include the Øresund Bridge and Drogden Tunnel between Denmark and Sweden. Sweden can be a better first guess than Germany when leaving Denmark.

Why the sea gap is allowed
Travle includes fixed bridge and tunnel connections. Its official connection table explicitly lists Denmark & Sweden, with the Øresund Bridge and Drogden Tunnel as the reason. Enter Sweden, not the name of the bridge, when your route needs that country.
See the game's own shorter answer

In GeoWizard's 2023 Denmark → Armenia recording, the result reveals Sweden → Finland → Russia → Azerbaijan as a four-guess answer. The player used Germany → Poland → Ukraine → Russia → Azerbaijan, taking five guesses.
This is historical gameplay evidence alongside the currently checked official rule, not a new play-test of today's puzzle. See the starting map, orange guess and result together.
How to use this when planning
Compare Denmark's southern exit via Germany with the northern exit via Sweden before submitting. Count intermediate countries, not the apparent distance on the screen. The northern route looks less direct in this example but uses fewer guesses.
Do not generalize this bridge to every pair of nearby coastal countries. A permitted Denmark–Sweden connection says nothing by itself about a different sea crossing, and a puzzle can still prohibit one of these countries.
