Travle Denmark to Armenia: The Four-Guess Route
A connected route can still be longer than necessary. In this recorded Denmark-to-Armenia game, Germany leads to a 5-guess finish; Sweden, Finland, Russia and Azerbaijan form the 4-guess answer. Compare both exits before guessing. Start and end countries do not count as guesses.

Compare the two routes
| Choice | Intermediate countries to guess | Count |
|---|---|---|
| Player's route | Germany → Poland → Ukraine → Russia → Azerbaijan | 5 |
| Shortest route shown by the game | Sweden → Finland → Russia → Azerbaijan | 4 |
For this historical route, start with Sweden. Both choices reach Armenia. The northern route removes one intermediate country even though it looks longer on a map.

1. Spot the two possible exits

The pink endpoint is Denmark; Armenia is teal. Before submitting Germany, compare Denmark → Germany with Denmark → Sweden. Travle counts bridge connections, so the Swedish option belongs in your plan. Do not choose by compass direction alone.
2. Read Germany's orange feedback

Germany fills in on the map, so the guess has connected. In this recorded attempt, the later result confirms a detour: five guesses rather than four. Orange feedback is evaluated against previous guesses, not a permanent list of countries outside an original shortest route. See the scoring explanation. Pause and compare the other exit before adding more countries. An orange guess already spent cannot be removed by finding a better route afterward.
3. Check the finish against the minimum

The player continues through Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Azerbaijan. The result explicitly says 5 guesses used; shortest solution 4. The revealed path goes through Sweden and Finland instead. That is why finishing the puzzle and achieving its best score are different goals.
