Why Is My Country Gray in Travle?
A gray country has not connected back to the start. It can still be a useful guess: fill the missing link instead of entering that country again.

France is useful, but not connected yet
In English World Practice on 2 October 2026, we set Ireland → Germany, Normal mode, Unlimited Guesses and no excluded countries. We entered France first. France stayed gray on the map, while its history entry received 🟩.

The map and history answer different questions. The map shows the connected chain from Ireland; the history says France reduced the number of guesses still needed. France is not adjacent to the starting area, so the chain still needs the United Kingdom.
What to enter next
- Start at the supplied origin and follow the connected areas.
- Find the first break before the gray country.
- In this example, enter United Kingdom and press Guess.
- Check the result. Do not repeat France: the game has already recorded it.

Adding the UK completed the attempt in 2 guesses, matching the 2-guess minimum. This is evidence for this route and configuration, not today's daily answer. Open the same Practice route.
Another missing link: Namibia → Zambia → DR Congo
In JackSucksAtGeography's 2024 recording, DR Congo is already guessed but gray. The missing intermediate country from Namibia is Zambia.

After Zambia is submitted, the previously gray DR Congo joins the colored chain.

This fixes that local gap; it does not complete the entire Namibia-to-Mongolia puzzle. If a gray country remains, trace the next break and check any exclusion in your own puzzle. An orange history rating is a different problem.
