Can Spain Connect to Morocco Through Ceuta or Melilla in Travle?
Mainland Spain does not connect to Morocco through Ceuta or Melilla in Travle. The game does not let you jump from mainland Spain to those separate areas simply by guessing Spain.

Test the supposed shortcut
We configured Spain → Algeria in English World Practice on 2 October 2026: Normal mode, Unlimited Guesses, no exclusions. If Spain's name allowed an automatic jump to Ceuta or Melilla, guessing Morocco would appear to be enough. It was not.

Morocco received 🟧 and the game remained active. The Practice selector used Spain, not a separately selected Ceuta or Melilla endpoint. This test does not demonstrate a selectable enclave-start mode; it demonstrates that choosing Spain and guessing Morocco does not produce that shortcut.
What the official rule says
Travle requires a continuous route through connected areas. Mainland Spain does not jump to Ceuta or Melilla merely because they share a country label. The official connection explanation explicitly lists Spain among the cases where the island-hop allowance does not provide that shortcut.
Do not generalize from Russia's tested endpoint exception. Each country's represented areas and allowed links matter.
The actual land route is much longer
We continued the Practice attempt and completed a land route through Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The result reported 13 guesses, with a shortest solution of 11.

The game revealed this shortest chain:
Spain → France → Switzerland → Austria → Hungary → Romania → Bulgaria → Turkey → Syria → Israel → Egypt → Libya → Algeria.
Only the eleven bold intermediate countries need to be guessed. Our own completed chain used the equally long France → Italy → Slovenia → Croatia → Serbia → Bulgaria opening, then the same countries from Turkey onward. We had also guessed Morocco and Tunisia, so our total was 13. The displayed eleven-country answer is the game's revealed solution, not a second clean replay we are claiming to have performed.
What to do when your map stays disconnected
Trace an uninterrupted chain from the supplied start. A nearby country across a strait is not automatically connected; Italy and Tunisia do not become adjacent just because both have Mediterranean coasts. Keep the full history, check your puzzle's exclusions, and use the final shortest-route panel to compare the actual land journey with your assumed shortcut.
